The National DNA Database

The public can judge for itself the success of The National DNA Database® with the launch of its first ever annual report.

Packed full of detailed information from the legislation and how it is operated to statistics and funding, the publication shows how the Database makes a major contribution to the detection and prevention of crime.

The National DNA Database was set up in 1995 by the Association of Chief Police Officers in partnership with The Forensic Science Service® (FSS®) with government funding and has now become a world class crime intelligence tool.
